MISSISSAUGA
FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION "25th
Anniversary"
In celebration of the cultural exchange between twin cities,
Mississauga
and Kariya, Japan, Justus and the Streetsville Lions Club hosted an
outdoor concert and a
traditional "Canadian" BBQ at Streetsville Park.
2006 Justus and
their families were honoured to participate in
the welcoming, hosting and entertaining of guest families from Kariya.
As members of the Mississauga Friendship Association, Justus
continues to nurture the many associations and friendships which were
first established during our tour to EXPO2005 in Japan!
Sept 10 - Sept 22, 2005
EXPO2005, AICHI, JAPAN
(follow the link)
A delegation of 28 Justus members experienced
the opportunity of a
lifetime by performing at the Canadian Pavilion, at EXPO2005 in Japan.
This invitation was made possible by the kind and generous support of
the Mississauga Friendship Association and the Kariya Friendship Association.
We would like to thank our families, friends, and those many individuals
and businesses who contributed to the success of this tour.
As ambassadors of Mississauga and of Canada, we were able to share our
music in this international forum with a tremendous amount of Justus pride
and enthusiasm!
Domo Arigato! (Thank you very much!)
July 2003
WITH GLOWING HEARTS, NORTHERN ONTARIO
The Summer of 2003 was especially memorable for Justus, as
we took our
Canadian Concert, With Glowing Hearts, on tour to Northern Ontario.
Starting in Mississauga on June 21, 2003 we performed before a sold-out
home-town audience, with support and greetings from our distinguished
Mayor, Hazel McCallion.
As ambassadors of Mississauga, we were received with open arms
by the communities of Parry Sound, New Liskeard, Timmins, Wawa
and Sault Ste. Marie. With great enthusiasm, we conquered the physical
demands of loading and unloading equipment, staging, lighting and scenery.
In true Justus fashion, each and every performing member had a job.
We moved from venue to venue with anticipated excitement of the next
performance. Joyfully, all good things do not come to an end. Justus
continues to be known for their enthusiasm, commitment and determination
to share their musical experiences with as many others as possible.
