Welcome!
Justus is the performing membership of The Streetsville Musicorp Inc.
(SMC)
Justus was founded in 1975 by Gary Clipperton, a Streetsville
resident,
High School teacher and accomplished musician, who was recognized as
the Mississauga Music Council Musician of the Year - 1983.
Based in the village of Streetsville, in the heart of
Mississauga, Ontario,
SMC is a registered non-profit charitable organization, affiliate of the City
of Mississauga and member of the Mississauga Theatre
Alliance and the
Mississauga
Arts Council. SMC
fosters musical talent through the
SMC Awards in Music, a program supported
by trust funds to assist
students in continuing their musical education.
Justus continues to
promote music through various performances.
We invite you to take in one of our
many public performances throughout the
year. A complete schedule of
events and ticket information, as well as a
reflection of past performances, including memories of
Live On Stage (1979-2008)
as well as Justus Tours, can be found by visiting
the Performances
section of
our site.
You can always count on a
Justus show being entertaining! You will want
to sing along to your favourite tunes. The reaction we hear most often
from
our audience is "You look like you're having such FUN up there."
Please visit
Justus
to read and hear about this performing group and their diverse repertoire of music.
Mississauga's
legendary Mayor, Hazel McCallion, has been one of our greatest
advocates; with
her support, recognizing us as ambassadors of Mississauga,
we have been received
with open arms both within our community and on our travels.
It
is with great pride that we continue to represent Mississauga and Canada,
sharing our commitment and love of music with as many others as possible.
